Data Protection Statement

Last updated: June 2026

SEND families share some of the most sensitive information they own: their child's education, health and wellbeing. We take that responsibility seriously.

Our commitments

  • Your data belongs to you. You can access, correct or delete it at any time.
  • We collect only what we genuinely need.
  • We use plain language to explain what we do with your information.
  • We never sell your data.
  • We are committed to full compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How we protect your information

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS) across the site.
  • Strict access controls for anyone working on the platform.
  • Reputable, contracted processors for hosting and email.
  • Regular review of our security and privacy practices as the platform grows.

Children's information

Oak SEN Path is used by parents and carers to support their children, and in time will offer linked accounts for teenagers. Where information about a child is added to the platform, this is done by a parent or carer with parental responsibility, or directly by a teen user under arrangements agreed with their parent or carer. We take extra care with information relating to children, including limiting who can access it and applying additional safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. If you have concerns about a child's information held on the platform, contact us at privacy@oaksenpath.com.
